Okay, this isn't THAt urgent, but muffins, if you'd seen the title you would have not read this. I'm curious.
Do you like the Twilight Saga, if so, why, and if not, why? Have you read it. Why do you hate Edward? Jacob? Charlie?
Give me some DETAILS, people!!!!!!!!
Oh, btw- I think I'm going to be starting a blog with Emilia and Hunter that is goth/vampire themed to satisfy my craving for Twilight debates.

Why? Because I feel the characters (especially Edward) are difficult to relate to, which makes it harder to imagine myself in the story. The plot is very much a romance novel, a genre I despise and think gives a bad name to fiction. And last of all, it promotes descrimination of 49 percent of the population--guys.
Stephanie Meyer created an idol in Edward Cullen. The perfect guy, the guy that we wish all real guys were like. But then the comparisons start. Every male is suddenly in a contest with Edward Cullen, and because they are human, they can never match up. Girls and women begin to look down upon all boys and men, because they don't live up to impossible expectations, when most of them would be (or were) great friends, boyfriends, or spouses. Males begin to lose their task of trying to fill the emotional needs of their wife or girlfriend or gal friend, which is being taken by Edward Cullen, a fictional character. And we stop trying to fill their emotional needs, and that's the worst part. We make depressed zombies out of half the population.
I leave with a final comment. How would it feel to be compared in a guy's eyes to a beautiful, anorexic, air-brushed, plasticified, twenty-pounds-of-makeup-wearing supermodel? You could never be as pretty as her, so does that mean you're worth less than her?
Why would you have Twilight debates with Emilia and Hunter? You are all of the same opinion, making a debate rather boring.
No, like theories. We're all waiting for Midnight Sun to tie up bunch of loose ends. Then there'd the movie; and the guide that we can discuss, and how we can relate to the characters, and news of stephenie meyer, and how Breaking Dawn screwed up the series or was absolutely wonderful. There's a ton to talk about, and no one has exactly the same views. We all love Twilight, and that's about on of the only similarities.
"I wonder that you are still talking, Signora Griffin, nobody marks you."
I feel that people are avoiding my argument. And I wanted to quote Much Ado About Nothing.
"Is it possible disdain should die when she hath such meet food to feed it as Twilight?"
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, this is of absolutely no value.
I read a few more chapters, and think it a mildly amusing book. It is funny when Bella is critical of Edward's driving and other assorted moments, but then it turns nauseating in a few short words. She's constantly talking about how he dazzles her, and how hot he is, and how great he is, talking of nothing else. I guess it's an okay book, I do enjoy a few excerpts, but I refuse to call it the best book ever, swoon over Edward Cullen, or attend the midnight showing of the movie. It's an okay book, one I might read once and never again.
I'm glad you think of it as an "okay" book and not an abomination of the literary world. I don't tink you'd ever really like it becasuse it's a romance between Vampires
