All we do is get hurt--over and over again. We either have an awkward breakup or a painful unrequited love or a stress-inducing admirer. So why on earth do we put ourselves through it?
Because a lot of people want to feel loved and protected and not lonely, even if it's only for a short time. Also, as a girl, when a guy likes me, I'm flattered even if i don't like him back. Because, if one guy likes me enough to tell me so, then I must be doing something right, right? And even if it doesn't last with them ,it gives me hope that someone else might fall in real love with me. I mentioned being lonely earlier--Even when you have friends who love you as a person, it's not romance, it's nice to have someone that can kiss and hold you who isn't a mutual friend. That's why.
Yeah. Muffins, no offense, but you and Rick aren't exactly an ordinary couple. You're actually the opposite. Rick gets the Girls, and you get him. So you guys will probably last till senior year and beyond.
Me, I'm hardly gonna find someone who is like Rick (rick, don't flip, I'm not done) who is MY TYPE (Rick is not, so no competition worries Emily and no freak-out sessions Noah :) )
